In a story that is ripped from today’s world headlines, Iran has developed the bomb and has finally launched a deadly attack on Israel and the Great Satan, the United States. Once the attack begins, it brings unexpected results when the missiles somehow go astray and destroy the Dome of the Rock. While the Israeli attack fails, Iranian agents succeed in destroying several American cities including the nation’s capital with a nuclear blast. These actions cause a series of ancient prophesies to culminate first with Christians being removed from the earth in a mass exodus; while simultaneously the 12th Imam, the long awaited Islamic Messiah returns from the Jamkaran well where he has been slumbering for nearly 1,200 years. These events unite Jewish, Islamic and the remaining Christian adherents as each of their end-times writings and prophesies converge on a single individual who unites three major religions that have been fighting for centuries.
With the disappearance of large numbers of Christians from the earth, Islam is now the dominant religion. The 12th Imam, or Mahdi, quickly unites the various factions in the Muslim world by demonstrating that he is in fact their messiah. He quickly moves to enter into a Sharia compliant financial system exclusively for the Islamic world.
Turning to the West for the technology to implement his Sharia banking system, he turns to Sam Reynolds, programming manager for Ana-chip, an innovative company who is working to perfect an RFID chip containing an individual’s medical records under their skin. The Mahdi’s goal is to use the technology to contain a person’s financial information. Tom Wellington, Sam’s cousin-in-law is a vice president at the World Bank and is tasked with setting up the financial aspects of the new Islamic system.
The Mahdi enlists both of these men to set up his Sharia banking system. Little does he know the two are familiar with biblical prophesies because of Pastor Glenn Nelson, a pastor who was one of many Christians who have been left behind. Because of Glenn’s teaching, they see him for who he truly is and realize his ultimate goal is not just a Sharia system for Muslims but for the entire world. Using their technical and financial expertise, Tom and Sam set up a secret back door in the financial system that has the potential to enable them to access the system to transfer funds to a secret account to be used by Christians who don’t want to have to take the Mark of the Beast.
